The credit model: why we don't charge per notice

When we first sketched pricing, the obvious option was to charge per notice, or per user, or per return. Every one of those felt wrong for how a CA practice actually works.

The problem with per-action pricing

Your workload isn't flat. September and the days before every GST deadline are brutal; other weeks are quiet. Per-notice pricing charges you the most exactly when you're already underwater — and makes your monthly bill impossible to predict.

One pool, everything included

So instead, every plan bundles all of its tools with a monthly pool of AI credits. Each AI action draws from that pool by roughly what it actually costs us to run:

  • A heavy draft — a GST or Income-Tax notice reply, a Counsel position, an appeal brief — costs 3 credits.
  • A Tax-Assistant question costs 1.
  • Reconciliation, the compliance calendar and analysis tools are free — they don't touch AI.

Predictable for you, sustainable for us

Because the pool caps total AI usage, you always know your ceiling and we never run at a loss on a heavy month. If you need more mid-month, you add a prepaid top-up pack — instant, one-off, no plan change. Non-AI tools keep working regardless.

No per-notice meter running in your head. No surprise invoice. Just a clear allowance you can plan around.

See it on your own notices.
